Childhood was fraught with surprise visits from the devil. He must have a really good agent.
Hades - "Hercules"
More "sassy gay friend" than evil villain, Disney scrubbed most of the scary right of the god of the underworld.
The Red Guy - "Cow and Chicken"
A scam-artist shapeshifter who walks on his butt? Disturbing, but not because he's scary.
Aku - "Samurai Jack"
An immortal dark god with superhuman strength, the power of interstellar travel, laser-beam eyes, and control of the elements who dabbles in necromancy? That is how you do scary shapeshifting.
Katz - "Courage The Cowardly Dog"
There's just something about his calm cruelty that lingers with you well after the show is over.
The universe needs more space cowboys and samurai. With Disney planning multiple Star Wars movies every year, spin off is inevitable.
Why: The easy answer is "because it's already happening." But the real answer is because Yoda is an enigma. He is the last of his (never named) species, and a movie about the Jedi Master's younger years would shed light on a dark corner of Star Wars lore. Did his people slowly die out? Or did Yoda witness a genocide 800 years ago in which he lost everyone he's ever loved?
Why: Because his story is just as interesting as Luke Skywalker's. He joined the Rebels when his girlfriend was murdered by Imperial forces and became such an accomplished pilot, he is the only pilot (save our heroes) to survive the destruction of both Death Stars. After the original trilogy, he was responsible for bringing down the shields on Coruscant, allowing the Rebels to retake the planet city. He went on to become the greatest pilot in the fleet, getting into all sorts of adventures ripe for movie magic.
Why: Because it's Samuel L. Jackson with a LIGHTSABER, jeez! Need more of a reason? OK, how about Mace Windu was an orphan who was given to the Jedi Academy at the age of six months and was basically raised by Yoda. He created the only purple lightsaber in existence based on a vision and willpower. He created the last form of lightsaber combat, designed specifically to channel his dark tendencies into light. Of all the Jedi who used his stance, he was the only one not to fall to the Dark Side. He is also the only Jedi to beat Palpatine in a duel. Ever.
Jabba the Hutt
Why: Because space gangsters! Despite being a hedonist slob, prior to his death Jabba Desilijic Tiure was the most powerful crime lord in the known galaxy. His underworld empire was so vast, even the Galactic Republic went out of their way not to displease him. The Hutts are basically a Mafia culture, with double-crossing and murder commonplace. But Jabba began his life as a small-time crime boss, so what is the story behind amassing such power unfettered?
Did a Marvel mole just spill the beans about the future of Bruce Banner? Or is this just a well-executed red herring? Warning: Potential massive spoilers inside.
Here's the breakdown:
According to Latino Review, Hulk is locked in as part of Marvel's Phase III. Supposedly the events of "Avengers 2" will lead to a post-credit scene where the Illuminati send Banner into space against his will for being a danger to society.
If you haven't heard of Latino Review, you're not alone. But the folks behind this superhero website have some serious chops when it comes to accurate movie spoilers, parceling out exclusive information on Marvel's Phase III plans.
After the Guardians of the Galaxy leak proved true, Marvel sicced their legal department on Latino Review to no avail. Undeterred by Marvel requesting the identity of their mole after another major lead over Iron Man 3 Latino Review is back. This time, they've got the possible scoop on the future of the Incredible Hulk and Mark Ruffalo. After all, the actor has signed on to play Hulk six more times.
Based on past rosters, if this information is true it could lead to serious fan angst since Tony Stark is both Banner's new BFF and a founding member of the Illuminati. Other members include Mr. Fantastic, Doctor Strange, Black Bolt, Namor, and Professor Charles Xavier. We already know Marvel has Strange on deck for his own film but unless they can wrest the movie rights to the X-Men and Fantastic Four from Fox's cold, dead hands, don't count on seeing Ioan Gruffudd or Patrick Stewart.
Where does he get such wonderful GIFS? Whoever the mysterious artist is, they are insanely talented.
Turning a video into a GIF is one of the most common occurrences on the Internet. But turning illustrations into moving works of art? That takes talent. Both these GIFS are converted from the art of the Death of the Family story arc.
Who is making these exceptional GIFS? Geekologie has been getting tips from someone known only as "V" but their source either isn't the GIF creator or doesn't want credit for some unknown reason.

Why Jem's boyfriend Rio got a reissued doll before these ladies is a mystery. Now the powers that be just need to release their songs on iTunes.
Kimber on keytar.

Aja on lead guitar.
That diva pose belongs on "The Most Popular Girls In School."
If you don't know who The Most Popular Girls In School are, do yourself a favor and watch the series. Warning: NSFW language!
The cliffhanger will drive you crazy. But how do you question suspects when all they can answer with is their species name?
Artist Ray Bruwelheide has a unique take on the world of Pokemon. Stripping out the bright colors and kid-friendly angle, the comic Pokecenter is a gritty crime story.
Bruwelheide states he's sketched out about ten pages worth of the comic but only put up the first four finished pages, uncertain if anyone would want to read a dark retelling of a classic cartoon.
Much like finding true love, this quiz is hard! But, also like true love, worth the effort.

Oh, you weren't waiting for a cartoon series to mash-up these childhood classics? After this, you will be.
There's evil and then there's unhinged. At least 19 of Disney's animated villains may actually be psychopaths.
Lady Tremaine - "Cinderella"
A calculating social climber with ugly daughters in a time where daughters meant a dowry, a financial strain even if the girl in question was beautiful? That sure sounds stressful, but taking it out on the one person who could actually hope to marry up is bad business.
Gaston - "Beauty & The Beast"
Nothing says sanity like planning an entire wedding to a woman who doesn't even like you. And only a person with a clean bill of health would bribe an asylum to lock up her father while you run off to murder her boyfriend because she turned you down.
Plummeting to his death barely covered his comeuppance.
Evil Queen - "Snow White"
Becoming the thing you fear most in order to murder someone who is no threat to you yet instead of taking them under your wing and molding them into a minion?
The queen is not the brightest tool in the shed.
Doctor Facilier - "The Princess & The Frog"
His evil was so evil, he had to import it from ANOTHER DIMENSION. That is some seriously bad juju.
Taking up with a devil and believing you'll come out ahead isn't a thing sane people think.
The first movie stars must have looked terrifying on set.
The orthochromatic film used in early black and white cinema did a poor job of picking up yellow and red light spectrums. To make up for this deficit, actors had to be coated in highly contrasting colors in order to appear normal.
Thanks physics! Serendipitous timing and surface tension merge to create an amazing photo.
Image by Adam Pretty / Getty Images
The photo was snapped back in July when as Clary completed the 200m Backstroke Final in Shanghai.
According to Fuck Yeah Fluid Dynamics:
Surface tension arises from intermolecular forces between water molecules. In the bulk of the liquid, any given water molecule is being pulled on in every direction by the surrounding molecules, which results in zero net force. At the surface, however, molecules only experience forces from those to the side and below them. As a result, these molecules are pulled inwards, forcing the liquid to take on a form with minimal area.

Can you determine how to draw a Tyrannosaurus Rex? Cornell University is betting you can't.
Is this an accurate depiction of a Tyrannosaurus Rex?
How about this?
What about this one?
Getting warmer! (Or BINGO for paleontologists who believe T-Rex was scaly)
See the difference? Tyrannosaurus Rex didn't drag his tail on the ground. He was an agile, well-balanced fulcrum of teeth and tail.
Or a giant chicken.
Add in the feathers many scientists now believe most dinosaurs possessed and suddenly his relation to the modern chicken is more visible.
Proof that everything is easier to learn when presented via Pokemon-style. Artist Kacie D. lovingly anthropomorphized every single element, which deserves to be converted into a children's book.
Created way back in 2011, Elements - Experiments In Character Design started life as the senior these project of Kacie D.
Seventy-two of the elements were on display at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design between April and May of that year and Kacie completed the additional forty elements by November.
Who wore it breast? I mean, best.
Chinese actress Li Bingbing wore the same dress to the 49th annual Golden Horse Awards back in November of 2012.
Alterations were clearly made for Perry's assets, but which style looks better? Form-fitting or flowy?
